We set off on our walk early this morning and from our doorstep, Kane spotted two dogs (unfriendly and who normally live next door to Tessie) across the road wandering by themselves. Kane barked and barked at them, which I interpreted to mean "go away, this is my turf".
Anyway, after they were out of sight, we walked the short way to the shops. We went early to avoid rain forecast for the day. On the way, we stopped by Millhouse's place. His people were about to take him to the vet as he had not been eating and been vomiting. Poor Millhouse, he seemed fine yesterday afternoon at Cook oval. He was really excited to see Kane though. It was only a quick visit on the way to the shops.
While I was inside the shop it had rained but had thankfully stopped. We walked around the outside of the complex and then home via the alleys. It was timely as it rained after we arrived home.
This afternoon, Kane also barked at the back door. I had a look and there was a magpie who had come on to the deck.
Kane's dinner was two hours later than usual. I cooked up a rice porridge with very well cooked diced zucchini and carrot, slices of cooked beef, English spinach and two beaten eggs. It was a more digestible meal than usual as Kane had vomited up his dinner last night, which was cooked fish with broccoli and cauliflower. This afternoon, he regurgitated a lot of water, so his stomach is delicate at the moment (his poo was also runny this morning). Thankfully, his chicken wing from breakfast was digested. Poor puppy, I wonder if last night's vegetables were too raw or if Millhouse had passed on something to him from yesterday (Millhouse always gives Kane lots of canine kisses).
I ruled out the fish as I ate that too (though mine was added to a curry). Hopefully, it's just an upset stomach that only lasts a day.
