turning left, nearly getting lost and a working dinner

We had a great walk tonight. Kane habitually turns left when we leave the driveway, so we walked that way. The first thing we did was visit Jet the German Shepherd who lives two houses up. We went straight to their backyard and Jet so wanted to play and wrestle with Kane. Kane was content to check up on Jet and wag his tail. After about 10 minutes, Kane went to the back door, which was his signal that he was ready to leave.

We continued on from the left, and then left at the end of the street, and left again. It became dark and Coulter Drive was looking like a very long road, so we turned (left) into and alley. I thought we had become lost from there. We came across an alley junction (they are rare), but continued on straight ahead, and crossed a road. Thankfully we came out on Bennelong Crescent. Then we walked home, very slowly. Kane decided he wanted to venture into a few front yards (we aren't allowed front fences in Canberra) to smell shrubs.

Our outing was about 45 minutes.

We meant to walk along Coulter Drive, but I forgot that Bennelong Crescent curves (hence crescent) so it wasn't parallel. Maybe we will attempt it again during daylight another time, continuing along the Redfern Street. It would be the super block walk.

I made Kane work for his dinner tonight. He usually takes five minutes to eat his dinner. I gave him a very meaty lamb neck tonight.

15 minutes later

It took another five minutes before he finished it.
