Today was another Kane Day.
We had a midday walk to the shops with Jordan, who was visiting, as I forgot to put in my prescription at the pharmacy yesterday. We walked home the long way round along the bike path and the grove of trees. Kane was content to sniff most of the trees and there were lots of them (about 50).
This evening, we went to visit the German Shepherd puppy Jet who lives two doors up. Jet wasn't going for a walk so Theresa let us in and Jet and Kane played in their back yard. Kane couldn't match the energy of Jet, so after ten minutes he signalled that he wanted to leave by going to the door.
We walked to the oval and said hello to the Jack Russell Terrier Jack through his balcony along the way. Unfortunately, nobody was at the oval when we arrived.
Later tonight, a three-year old small Red Heeler (cattle dog) called Freja came over for quick visit. Kane was having his dinner and when he detected 'intruders', he barked (the second time I have heard him bark).
Freja will be staying over later this month when her people go away for Easter. She's a clever but naughty dog though, so I'm going to have to move treats out of reach from the kitchen bench.
